Who is Ebonie?

I am a lover of mint chocolate! Let's be honest I love anything with chocolate. I love to start my mornings with a fresh cup of coffee with French Vanilla Creme! Becoming 40 has changed a lot about how I look at life and family and being a hairstylist has let me have the best of both worlds.

My Family....

Consists of, my husband, 2 boys, 21 and 16 and a daughter who's 10. They are who I go home to every night, but who have been behind me 100% through this adventure!

My salon family is small but mighty and consists of my massage therapist and hair artist, Ginger (also my sister), 3 hair artists, 1 best friend who runs the front on Saturdays, 1 beautiful woman who help me keep the salon clean on the weekend and most importantly many, many clients who have supported and loved me and my salon during my career.

Always Learning....

In the world of hair there is always something new and exciting to learn. But, it is also very important to revisit the basics as well. In order to give my clients the best of me I have to keep learning. The minute you stop learning is the minute you stop growing. At Oooh Girl Salon I encourage each of my stylists to keep growing. We attend regular classes both in the salon and out, learning everything from haircuts to balayage. In fact, In November of 2018 I attended, for the second time an amazing class learning a new extension method called Natural Beaded Row™ Hair Extensions. It was an inspiring and motivating experience and I am now concentrating and specializing in this extension method. I am so excited to now offer this service at the salon!

What Should You Expect From Me....

A warm and inviting welcome! From the very beginning, either talking over the phone or in person, you should feel comfortable and relaxed. I always start with a consultation with every client who sits in my chair. And, if you are a regular client, you should expect me to ask you quite often if there is anything you would like to do differently. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and need a little something different to pull us out of it. Most of the time, changing up the hair does quite a good job at turning things around. Feel free to ask any and all questions!

My Why....

Why am I here? Why do I do what I do? It is not just a simple "Because I love to do hair." There are so many things that go into why I am a hairstylist.

I love the creative freedom it allows me to have. With each color client that I see I have the opportunity to customize their color just for them. Each one is special and each one is different. I love the people I work with. Each of my stylists offer something unique, which is one part of why my salon is unique.

I am a hairstylist not only because I love doing hair, but also because I love the people who sit in my chair. Whether I see you every month or every 3 months, I enjoy our time together.
